New League Info

Are you interested in starting a PONY League in your area?  Email Region Director Willie Lessier for more information.

Welcome to the home page of the Southwest Region.

Our Boundaries have been expanded in 2019 to include all of Southern California.

While PONY Baseball offers baseball for players ages 3 to 23 some of our leagues may not offer all of those divisions of play.

Additional information is located in the various menus under the Southwest Region as well as the main corporate PONY website.

Thank you for visiting our page. Please check back often for updates. All Star Tournament information will be posted as it becomes available.

Divisions of play for PONY Baseball include the following:

SHETLAND: 3 to 6 Years Old

PINTO: 7 and 8 Year Olds

MUSTANG: 9 and 10 Year Olds

BRONCO: 11 and 12 Year Olds

PONY: 13 and 14 Year Olds

COLT: 15 and 16 Year Olds

PALOMINO: 17, 18 and 19 Years Old

THOROBRED: Up to 23 Years Old

Some of our leagues offer kids to play UP. This means that a 12 year old could potentially play in the PONY Division. This is strictly a league decision. You will have to contact the league president to verify whether they allow this or not.

Jaime was a PONY Field Director since 1999. Working mainly in the North County of San Diego County. He was also a past president with Fallbrook Youth Baseball in San Diego County.

Jaime was a dedicated father who coached his children and so many others. He operated his own business as the owner/operator of Lumber Yard Batting Cages as well as a coach for several travel ball teams.

He had a true passion to be involved in the development of young athletes as well as maintaining the integrity of the game through training and practice.

Jaime was well known within the circles of PONY Baseball as well as all of San Diego County for his knowledge and dedication to the game of baseball.

His family, players, parents, friends, and our entire PONY Baseball & Softball community will miss his spirit, on and off the field.
