Day 2 of the 2024 Bronco World Series
Game 5: Madrid (0), Spain vs. Lihue, Hawaii (13)
Lihue, Hawaii easily dispatched Madrid, Spain on Saturday, 13-0. Lihue, Hawaii opened the scoring in the first after Keith H laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring two runs. Lihue, Hawaii added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Madrid, Spain committed an error, and Knox P grounded out, each scoring one run. Lihue, Hawaii extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Gerald A and Shay Y. Lihue, Hawaii scored six runs on two hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Keith doubled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Shay drew a walk, scoring one run, Kaeden K drew a walk, scoring one run, and Knox grounded out, scoring two runs.
Jacoby D led things off on the bump for Lihue, Hawaii. They surrendered zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking two. Tiziano D stepped on the hill first for Madrid, Spain. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and seven runs (five earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out two and walking four. Logan G, Kaeden, Taj Y, and Gerald each came on in relief for Lihue, Hawaii and shutdown Madrid, Spain.

Game 6: Deer Park (2), Texas vs. McAllen, Texas (5)
Justin O collected three hits in four at bats, as McAllen, TX defeated Deer Park, Texas 5-2 on Saturday. Justin singled in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the third inning. Deer Park, Texas opened the scoring in the first after Ruben O grounded out, scoring one run. Justin singled, which helped McAllen, TX tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. McAllen, TX took the lead in the bottom of the third. Jorge S grounded out, scoring one run, to give McAllen, TX the leg up, 2-1.

Boca Chica, Dominican Republic took down Monterrey, Mexico 4-0 on Saturday. Boca Chica, Dominican Republic jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Jair F singled, scoring two runs, and Josue C doubled, scoring one run.
Yoyo T led things off on the hill for Boca Chica, Dominican Republic. They gave up three hits and zero runs over five and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking one. Raul Alejandro G began the game for Monterrey, Mexico. The right-handed pitcher surrendered six hits and four runs (zero earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one. Milfree F pitched one and two-thirds innings of shutout ball for Boca Chica, Dominican Republic in relief. They allowed one hit, striking out three and walking none.
Jair drove the middle of the lineup, leading Boca Chica, Dominican Republic with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Josue and Carlos M each collected two hits for Boca Chica, Dominican Republic. Carlos stole two bases. Boca Chica, Dominican Republic were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Game 10: Cleveland, Ohio (14) vs. Lihue, Hawaii (9)
Cleveland, Ohio topped Lihue, Hawaii 14-9 on Saturday. Cleveland, Ohio got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jayce S scored after tagging up, and Hayden D singled, scoring two runs. Cleveland, Ohio added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Grant V was struck by a pitch, Victor R singled, and Grayson S scored after tagging up, each scoring one run. A balk extended the Cleveland, Ohio lead to 7-3 in the top of the third inning.
Hayden pitched three and two-thirds innings in relief for Cleveland, Ohio. They surrendered six hits and four runs (three earned) while, striking out three and walking four. Logan W led things off on the mound for Cleveland, Ohio. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and one run over one inning, striking out one and walking none. Knox P started on the mound for Lihue, Hawaii. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and six runs (four earned) over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking four.

Monterrey, Mexico easily dispatched McAllen, TX on Saturday, 11-0. Monterrey, Mexico were the first to get on the board in the second when Marcelo A singled, scoring one run. Monterrey, Mexico scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Andres G singled, scoring one run, Nicolas S tripled, scoring one run, Bruno Antonio G singled, scoring one run, and Bernardo D doubled, scoring two runs.
Monterrey, Mexico scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Iker Fabricio G singled, scoring two runs, Santiago R hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Raul Alejandro G singled, scoring two runs.
Esteban Patricio H led things off on the mound for Monterrey, Mexico. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking none. Joshua O stepped on the hill first for McAllen, TX. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and six runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking four. Raul Alejandro, Iker Fabricio, and Bernardo each drove in two runs for Monterrey, Mexico. Marcelo led Monterrey, Mexico with two hits in three at bats. Monterrey, Mexico had a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Esteban Patricio and Nicolas led the team with two free passes each. Bruno Antonio stole two bases. Angel G collected three hits in five at bats, as Boca Chica, Dominican Republic defeated Laredo, Texas 11-1 on Saturday. Angel hit a solo home run to center field in the fourth inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.
Laredo, Texas opened the scoring in the first after one run scored on a balk. Victor C singled, which helped Boca Chica, Dominican Republic tie the game at one in the top of the second. Boca Chica, Dominican Republic flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on three hits to take a 6-1 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two. Rolando V stepped on the mound first for Laredo, Texas. They surrendered four hits and six runs (four earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking three. Juan Pablo M appeared in relief for Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.
Boca Chica, Dominican Republic tallied 10 hits in the game. Jair F collected two hits for Boca Chica, Dominican Republic in four at bats. Game 13: Tokyo, Japan (23) vs. Chicago, Illinois (1)
Tokyo, Japan easily dispatched Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, 23-1. Tokyo, Japan got on the board in the top of the first inning after a steal of home scored one run, Oguri A drew a walk, scoring one run, and Hayate I laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring two runs.
Tokyo, Japan scored 10 runs on eight hits in the top of the second inning. Yuta M doubled, scoring one run, Haruki Y singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Daichi K singled, scoring one run, Taisyo N doubled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Raito K singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Soto F doubled, scoring one run.
Tokyo, Japan added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Daishi K grounded out, Tomoya S singled, Yuta singled, and Haruki doubled, each scoring one run. Tokyo, Japan scored five runs on zero hits in the top of the fourth inning. Sebastian S induced Oguri to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, an error scored three runs, and Yuta grounded out, scoring one run.
Haruki opened the game for Tokyo, Japan. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and one run over one and one-third innings, striking out three and walking none. Judson C started on the hill for Chicago, Illinois. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and six runs over one inning, striking out none and walking two. Yuta tossed one inning of shutout ball for Tokyo, Japan in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out three and walking one.
