After a two year layoff, the West Zone Champions League World Series in Moreno Valley California was held on Saturday, June 4th. Sixteen teams throughout San Diego, Southern California and the Coachella Valley were featured, competing and fighting hard for the West Zone World Series Title.
We reached out to Daniel Watson, the West Zone league director, for comment on the World Series and he stated:
"The players were amazing, Never have I witnessed so many smiling faces in one place. The talent level continues to rise for these awesome players.
Just being at the ball park with these players made everyone a winner."
All players in attendance received a World Series ring and coaches received championship banners upon conclusion of the event.
The Champions League West Zone wants to extend a special thank you to sponsor, Dick's Sporting Goods. They provided an amazing prize package to every player in attendance. They would also like to thank Moreno Valley Youth Baseball, Don Doran, Rhonda Dubski and Dee Prescott for their dedication, performance and teamwork in putting this event together. Finally, they would like to thank to the umpires who donated their time and made this event possible.
