Bronco-11 Made PONY Baseball History

History was made in this year’s Bronco-11 World Series. The Bronco-11 World Series was held in Chesterfield, VA. Six teams competed in the World Series this year, traveling as far away as San Diego, CA and Laredo, TX to local teams from North Carolina and Virginia. The Telecote Allstars from San Diego, CA was the 2021 Bronco-11 World Series Champions.

For the first time in PONY Baseball and Softball history we had two girls face each other from opposite teams. Aubrey Easley, played for the Western Rockingham team stepped up to plate to face pitcher Abrielle Shaw from Chesterfield, VA.

“As the Tournament Director for the PONY Baseball Bronco-11 World Series it was a great pleasure for me to watch so many young baseball players,” said Ricky Melton. “Each year brings special talents, and this year was no different. While I have seen young ladies compete at the World Series level before, this year was the first year that I witnessed two young ladies play from opposing teams.”

In the PONY Baseball and Softball International Headquarters Museum there will be a ball signed by both Aubrey and Abrielle to forever represent this moment in PONY Baseball history.
