Day 2 of the Mustang-9 World Series
Day 2 Game 5: Tampa, FL (19) vs Chicago, IL (4)
Tampa, FL scored 12 runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat Chicago, IL 19-4 on Saturday.
Tampa, FL jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after AIDEN M singled, scoring one run, DEREK M doubled, scoring one run, IAN T singled, scoring two runs, JOVANNI O singled, scoring one run, and LANDON C singled, scoring one run.
Tampa, FL scored 12 runs on six hits in the top of the second inning. An error scored one run, DYLAN H doubled, scoring one run, ARIEN P doubled, scoring three runs, LANDON C singled, scoring one run, DEREK M drew a walk, scoring one run, IAN T singled, scoring two runs, DANIEL O singled, scoring two runs, and ARIEN P drew a walk, scoring one run.
Tampa, FL added one run in the third. ARIAN P walked, making the score 19-4.
JEMAL K led things off on the bump for Chicago, IL. The starter surrendered two hits and four runs over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking two. IAN T led things off on the hill for Tampa, FL. The pitcher surrendered four hits and three runs over one inning, striking out none and walking one.

Shenzhen, China added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after HOUZHE L grounded out, MINXING S singled, SHUOTIAN K singled to center field, and Virginia Beach, VA committed an error, each scoring one run.
HOUZHE L led things off on the bump for Shenzhen, China. The hurler gave up three hits and four runs (zero earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking none. CAMERON H led things off on the mound for Virginia Beach, VA. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and 10 runs (four earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking one. HONGYI W pitched one inning of scoreless ball for Shenzhen, China in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out two and walking none.

Vacaville, California couldn't keep up with Tijuana, Baja, Mexico and fell 18-4 on Saturday.
Tijuana, Baja, Mexico got on the board in the top of the first inning after LIAM H singled, scoring one run, MOISES L singled, scoring two runs, and DAVID W grounded out, scoring one run.
Tijuana, Baja, Mexico added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after THIACO O doubled down the left field line, AZIEL L singled to right field, CARLOS E grounded out, MOISES L singled to center field, and ARTURO P walked, each scoring one run.
Tijuana, Baja, Mexico scored nine runs on eight hits in the top of the fifth inning. LIAM H singled, scoring two runs, ESTEBAN F singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, THIACO O singled, scoring one run, AZIEL L doubled, scoring three runs, and LIAM H singled, scoring one run.
CAMERON M stepped on the mound first for Vacaville, California. The starter surrendered three hits and four runs over one-third of an inning, striking out one and walking none. LIAM H began the game for Tijuana, Baja, Mexico. The starting pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out four and walking none.
WYATT T provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Vacaville, California with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. BRYCE B and WYATT T each collected one hit for Vacaville, California.
Tijuana, Baja, Mexico piled up 17 hits in the game. MOISES L, LIAM H, AZIEL L, and THIACO O each collected three hits for Tijuana, Baja, Mexico. LIAM H and AZIEL L were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in four runs for Tijuana, Baja, Mexico. MAXIMILIANO V collected two hits for Tijuana, Baja, Mexico in five at bats. Simi Valley, CA got on the board in the top of the first inning after PARKER O singled, scoring one run, COLTON P singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and OAKLEY C doubled, scoring two runs.
Simi Valley, CA added one run in the second after ROMAN L hit a sacrifice fly.
Simi Valley, CA added one run in the third. Bonaire committed an error, making the score 7-3.
PARKER O began the game for Simi Valley, CA. The hurler allowed two hits and one run over one inning, striking out none and walking none. CALEB N started on the bump for Bonaire. The starter allowed three hits and four runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out two and walking one.
